Two big ticks this week: Got my 4:10:70 accepted (researchy part of my Emergency Fellowship), and finally submitted the main Rottnest Swim Hypothermia paper. Ian tells me it is fortunate we did it in 2006 - in the 2008 race, the conditions were benign, and no-one got hypothermic!!!

I joined the South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society, with a view to adding some letters to my name in the future (DipDHM - the Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Diploma).

Had a great MTB ride yesterday with Konrad and Niall to make up for being stuck at home on the long weekend while Gill is off walking at PelionWest (I am on-call for Hyperbaric). Other than that - abyssmal performance in the Six Nations by Ireland last night, and I am on my way in to work to see/treat a carbon monoxide poisoning being shipped to us from Launceston, apparently...

Just a quick and interesting addition! Thanks to Glynno and Jayne for putting us up in Cromwell on the shoot of Jayne's brother's movie (working title "Broken"). We saw a few takes, and helped with the catering a wee bit (which J and G are doing an amazing and under-thanked job of!) and saw a few scenes in a rough edit - it certainly looks the part!
