2月22日 Mt AspiringJust back down to Wanaka after a fantastic week at Colin Todd hut on Shipowner ridge in the Southern Alps, including a successful ascent of Mount Aspiring/Tititea in stunning conditions. (The photo below shows the hut with the Northwest Ridge and the summit of Aspiring in the background). More when I get home in a week or so...we are going cragging tomorrow and then mountain biking for a few days... 2月12日 Flail chests and frantic restsOff to NZ to climb Mount Aspiring. Hope my broken rib doesn't hinder me too much...Adios! Been busy catching up with Nick and Carol who also head back to Ireland tomorrow (part of me wishes I could stow away in their luggage!) 2月9日 Uncle DomhnallI am an uncle! Gareth and Caitriona's son (JUDE) was born this week (not sure exactly what day due to time difference)...another February birthday. I talked to G last night - he is chuffed! Apparently all are well...yet again, I feel far from home! Would love to give my little bro a big hug!!! I wish happiness and health to G, Caitriona, and Jude! oh, and not to forget the auld fella, Happy Birthday Granda Paul!!!! |
